Food-based dietary guidelines for the Belgian population (2025)
Eating healthier means living longer.
The Superior Health Council therefore drew up an advisory report with new dietary recommendations.
This advice consists of three parts:
- Part 1 contains dietary recommendations for the adult Belgian population for the prevention of a number of chronic diseases that cause a significant disease burden and are related to food consumption.
- Part 2 contains recommendations dealing with some other aspects of the relationship between diet and health.
- Part 3, which will be published at a later date, provides recommendations for the whole population on the daily amount of energy and nutrients needed to avoid deficiencies or toxicity.
Only available in Dutch and French.
