Symposium: Future-proof policy advice – from insight to impact
On 13 May 2026, the Superior Health Council held its general assembly, which focused on future-proof policy advice.
During the symposium, we reflected on the advisory process and the impact of our advisory reports. Academics who study the scientific advisory process shared their insights on the structures within which policy advice is developed, the role of the work of the various stakeholders involved, and the way in which scientific advice is taken up by policymakers.
In a panel discussion, we compared these findings with the experience of members of the Superior Health Council. By doing so, we explored together what we could learn from the research presented to prepare scientific policy advice for the future.
